88 Persistent Worlds & Multiplayer for NWN (not EE).411 Custom Content & Community Exp Pack.Thank you for your vigilant work - I just hope that the BG series can be as future-proof as possible as Beamdog prepares the next update. The fix usually entails only changing a few lines of code: Here is an approachable guide that a developer not accustomed to iOS may follow. Many popular games on the app store take up the full screen + hide the home bar + have their own buttons right where the hidden home bar area is. Taps on buttons are fine and do not conflict. As long as the game does not have its own swipe up/left/right gestures at its bottom border there is no conflict. And if you hide the bar using the prefersHomeIndicatorAutoHidden property linked above, no in-game UI change is necessary. In Landscape orientation iOS lets you expand to fill the bottom safe area while still respecting and avoiding the trickier left/right safe areas (notch) - only the bottomAnchor of the safeAreaLayoutGuide needs editing. No problem - you can just hide the home bar (many immersive games do this with Apple's tacit approval) using this: I know what you're thinking - the BG UI has elements there, and we can't redesign it to be like NWN:EE. However this is not necessary - Beamdog's NWN:EE maximizes vertical screen real estate (note the bar is on the content, not under): (This is even with "Scale User Interface" setting enabled) There are essentially extra black bezels around not only the bottom, but also the left and right of the content as everything is scaled down. As a result they no longer take advantage of the full screen real estate, and everything is much tinier and a worse experience (compacted pixel appearance, hard to read/tap interface) than it was on older devices that had a home button. This smaller zone is the default "safe area". By default, apple has old apps shrink their view area proportionally and move their window above the home bar. Currently, most iOS devices have done away with the home button and rely on a gesture area (aka "home bar") at the bottom of the screen that only reacts to swiping. Thank you for the updates! As an iOS Developer I have a quick suggestion that will improve playability tremendously.
